The project is led by the Chinese group Shandong Yongsheng Rubber through its Moroccan subsidiary Goldensun Tire Morocco. It represents an investment of 6.7 billion dirhams and covers 52 hectares.

The factory will strengthen Morocco’s position as an automotive hub. It will also support job creation and expand manufacturing capacity across the Oriental region. Officials say the project will reach completion early next year and help increase industrial growth.
